Guest guest
Surely there are charities or church groups etc that could help out by covering the cost of the insurance it would only be at most a once yearly payment but as you said it is NOT something you could replace and there has to be someone out there who could help out. Do you get any kind of carer's allowance or such for staying home to look after Dylan etc. what about charity groups like March of Dimes (I think that is what they are called I remember hearing about them before) PLEASE I know it is hard to admit but PLEASE look into it as it would be devistating (and very hard on Dylan if he gets used to the chair and the freedom it can give him) to loose the chair due to theft or accident etc. Good Luck in finding help to cover the cost of the insurance (I sure know what the financial issues are like as I am due to be cut off from Workcover on July 5th and am fighting it but I can't see it being sorted out by then so I will be without ANY income so am applying for a disability support pension in the mean time so that I am not left without any form of income). I just don't know if I can squeeze one more bill out of this already tight budget. Not working, to stay home with him, has really put us in a financial hardship, as so many others here are living too. He will be on state insurance soon, and this chair can't be replaced. That's why I was in such a push to get it now, while he still had private insurance. I'll look into it further...... > Cindylouwho > > >
