Guest guest
Sorry I haven't been around again, I had three vessels in my right wrist burst on Wednesday evening and ended up spending 4 hours in the hospital being monitored and having my blood work checked. My clotting factors are a little low again, but they think it may have been my IV line that has weakened the veins further casing such a large bleed. I have been splinted and iced for the pas few days trying to relieve the " bulges " in my veins and thankfully I've had no more bleeds. The main worry though is a very painful lump on the side of my wrist which we fear may be a thrombosis or aneurysm. I'm hoping to have my doctor check it out tomorrow, but have to confess I am rather scared at present. My shoulder is continuing to be painful and sublux slightly. I see Mac on Wednesday, so I know he will take great care to find out what is happening, be completely honest with me and hopefully reassure me. I actually saw Mac and his registrar while I was in ER on Wednesday, both of them concerned I had injured my shoulder! They went out of their way to come see me and were very concerned about my wrist, even pulling strings to find my results. I was very grateful to them for caring enough to spend time checking I was okay...they didn't have to do that after a long day in their own clinic. As I've said before though, Mac is incredibly protective of me...it's almost like having an extra parent on hand! Anyway, I had better go as I need to rest and ice my wrist again. I promise I will let you know how things go as and when I get to know anything about my current Odd Bod rebels. Please know that I am thinking of you, keeping you all in my prayers and counting myself extremely lucky to have such wonderful people in my life. Love and hugs....Jo xxx
