Guest guest
Yo, hippies... They do seem to define customer service and patient relations very differently in Belgium. I had some questions yesterday about form and format for e-mailing my x-rays to Dr. de Smet. (In case it should develop that CIGNA rejects me, I wanted to make sure everything was ready to start the process of resurf in Ghent.) I sent an inquiring e-mail to the clinic address about 11:00 Pacific time yesterday morning. By the time I got back to check e-mail at mid-afternoon yesterday, I had a response...apparently written by Dr. de Smet himself. Not flowery, but simple, direct and easy to understand. In my own country it takes me longer to get a call-back from my doctor's secretary. Again, not at all sure I'll ever go to Belgium, but the speed, simplicity and effectiveness of the response was impressive. If he wields a scalpel the same way... his surgeries must be works of art. Hobble on, hippies... Alan
