Guest guest
Goooooo! Kelsey, and good literary taste, too!Love to you all in your family, Sharon,nSubject: grandaughter's birthday party today! To: "Group" <mserslife >Date: Sunday, October 16, 2011, 7:49 PM My granddaughter, Kelsey, turned 14 on Wednesday. Today we had her party. It wasn't the same without my daughter and her family here:(The party was a little low key because of having less people here. Kelsey's choice for her birthday meal was sub sandwiches. She ate two giant subs! I could only eat part of a small one. lol I made a candy bar cake--chocolate cake, chocolate frosting and covered with fun size Twix, 3 Muskateers and Milky Way bars. Kelsey was quite impressed:) lol She also requested a pan of brownies from me. , age 9, made a pan of her 'signature' butterscotch brownies. Very yummy! I love giving books to my grandkids and Kelsey's reaction did not disappoint me! I gave her "The Throne of Fire" by Rick Riordan, a novel based on Egyptian mythology. I also gave her a copy of "The Hunting of the Snark" by Carroll. Kelsey has wanted that book for years and I finally got it for her this year. I have searched Ebay and Amazon for months and finally got a good deal on a used copy. The book has been out of print for years. Kelsey screamed when she opened "The Hunting...". lol What a cool reaction. Kelsey got eye make-up for the very first time (from her parents). She was a happy, happy girl today. On her actual birthday Wednesday I made her a streusel coffeecake for breakfast (her favorite) and a fruit cocktail cake for dinner. It was a good day, even though my mind is on my grandsons. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product.
