Hi everyone, esp Eleanor, Jan/Wannie, Sunita, Joyce & Chris:

It was really good of you to describe the trials you have been through

w/ your hip surgeries. I am still planning on having the surgery,

don't worry!

I will, however discuss the petite frame issue with my surgeon since

I'm 5'3 " , small boned, (though about 20 lbs overweight) and I will be

getting a Cormet 2000 prosthesis.

I already have AVN in my bad hip (cause unknown). I will also discuss

this further with my os. I wonder if I'll be more likely to have this

progress once resurfaced. I know that the failure rate with AVN

patients is higher than thoses with just OA.

It is good to be prepared for adverse reactions to medication. My

sister is allergic to Morphine, I get nauseated by every narcotic I've

ever taken by mouth. I used to have panic attacks when I was in my

late teens, I sure hope I don't have a reaction like this, but since

Joyce told me about hers, I'll now realize more quickly that it could

be a reaction to medication.
