Mo,

Every one is different, but I personally could not have endured

a 5 day training seminar at 10 days post op. Unless the meeting

rooms have recliners, you can safely assume the seating will be

average at best. I need to rest alot my second week, having had my

leg torn off and re-installed. I'm a 44 year old construction worker

who got in shape for surgery and everything. I need to take it

somewhat easy my second week. We'll see what the others think.

It's not 10 days, it's 40 (she's being resurf-ed on June 1 and

the seminar's on July 11). I don't know, not haing reached day 40 yet,

but I suspect she could manage it.

I'll defer to the more experienced hippies.

I would say " no " . In fact my first response is that you are crazy! I flew

home from Heathrow to Vancouver, Canada about 2.5 weeks after my surgery and

the flight was easier than the way over but still no picnic. Like others

have said you need good chairs etc. I would suggest canceling the training

course.

Subject: Three weeks to go!!

Wahay only three weeks till my operation!

A wee question for anyone who's had this done already.

I'm meant to go on a training course for work on July 11th - my

resurfacing is on June 1st.

Training Centre is an hour on the plane and then an hour in a taxi

away and would mean staying five nights in a hotel. Actual course is

9-5 and is about 10 min walk and up a flight of steps from hotel but

there is disabled access I can arrange.

Do you think I'll be fit -- I really really want to go on it? But I

can't cancel it after the op as there'll be a fee...
