Guest guest
I was diagnosed last August with pigmented villonodular synovitis in my left hip and have been told that a total hip replacement is the procedure of choice because I'm 48 and active. Recently received information re hip resurfacing and am wondering if anybody knows if it's an option with this disease rather than thr. Am concerned that thr will really restrict my lifestyle in the sense of restriced movement choices - i.e. no kneeling, sitting crosslegged, curling up in a chair to read, etc. Right now I enjoy almost complete range of motion in the joint and my occasional inflammation is controlled with acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Is anybody familiar with pvs and had hip resurfacing instead of thr?
