Hello everyone! I am writing with the news that I will be leaving my position as the Migrant Health Coordinator for the Virginia Migrant Health Network in mid-May. I will be living in Northern Ireland for a year with my husband who will be working in a research position there.

Job title: Migrant Health Program Coordinator

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience

Hours: twenty hours a week to start...full-time status if grant funding received

Location: Lee, , , Washington, Smyth, Carroll, and Grayson Counties

Skills: Bilingual in Spanish and English. Health background in nursing, health education, public health, social work, or other field related to farmworker issues. Management experience.

Job Summary: Serve as Coordinator for multi-county migrant health program. Serve as intermediary between community health centers and farmworkers. Locate farmworkers and provide case management, health education, transportation, and translation services. Maintain positive relationships with growers, farmworkers, and clinic staff. Supervise program staff, write grants, serve as advocate for farmworkers in the community. Provide direct patient care.
