Cheaper travel isn't always the best travel. Trisha bought her tickets

through Priceline.com and they never got confirmed. If anyone needs any

travel assistance I own a travel agency (MGB hopeful too} I would be happy to

help.

I traveled to the West Coast last fall and all I did was take my meds and

packed for the weather. I included summer and winter things. I live in Ohio and

it's not too bad here right now. There are several others that I know about that

live here in the Midwest. Happy traveling!

I suggest looking into " travel insurance " . You can get it thru a

travel agent, or on your own. When we recently went to Europe, we

took 2 kinds of trav. insurance--the usual kind for lost

luggage/delays. The other kind was an upgrade and included

terrorism and PRE-EXISTING medical conditions. If you are not

worried about money issues if you'd have to cancel and reschedule,

then that may help ease your mind. Have a wonderful trip! June

> My name is a and I am new to the group. I would like to pick

everyone's brains for a minute, I live in Portland Oregon and want

to travel to the Midwest, How would those of you who have severe

flares go about this? I realize this is pretty individualized, but

perhaps hearing how others with fibro, IBS, etc manage would help me

believe this is not an unreachable goal. Thank you all in advance.

I do a bit of traveling, and the best thing that I found was a Homedics seat

pad with heat and massage. They sell them at local department stores. I

think I paid about $25 for mine at Macy's.

Dear friends,

This is Debbie again - just posted a msg with questions about

underwear and now thot of a new question. My husband and I will have

to travel by train to get to LA from Ohio, since my husband cannot

fly due to severe ear problems. How far from LA-OH is the Amtrak

station? I know it's posssible to get a handicapped room on a train

for the return trip, since I made arrangements for my dad to travel a

year ago by Amtrak (but he wound up not going, having to be

hospitalized at the time). Please reply, anyone who is familiar with

LA.

Debbie
