Hi everyone, I've just had a better update on how Rhea is doing and

wanted to let you all know. Thankfully the news is actually quite

good, in that she has a compression fracture of the lumbar spine -

on the anterior portion meaning it's not involving any nerves. I

can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that! they don't think that

she will need any surgery, but she is getting checked over by the

specialist in Ottawa on Friday just to make sure. Hopefully once she

has seen him and got his verdict, it is hoped she will be allowed

home over the weekend.

She is in very good spirits, although obviously on some strong pain

killers still. She's most upset about having to stay on bed rest

though as she's losing her hard earned VMO strength, typical Rhea!!

That is probably the best way she could have convinced me she is

doing okay though. I am just so grateful she is more badly hurt and

will hopefully be back with us soon.

I will continue to let you know how she is doing as and when I get

to hear things, but wanted to let you know that things are as good

as they can be under the circumstances really. Rhea wants to thank

you all for your thoughts, wishes and prayers and send her love

right back to you all as well.

Love and hugs....Jo

xxx

P.S. As we don't really know how long she is going to be in the

hospital, could anyone who wants to send her a card or well wises

please message me privately and I will pass on the address to send

it to.
