PS I had a successful TKR 2 years ago. My only problem was with the PT. You

are encouraged to get to full ROM ASAP. Since it only took me 5 days, I

should have realized that was not a good thing. All rehab should be done in

small increments to avoid restretching the ligaments and tendons. The

exercises might have strengthened the muscles but I sure didn\'t need the

flexibility. I now have to be very careful not to hyperextend the knee

which causes pain and swelling.
