Hi Irene: I'm allergic to just about everything too it seems, including most

foods, medicines and the world in general. It seems as though something new

pops up all the time, without rhyme or reason. Also, I seem to develop new

symptoms and problems and can never be sure if it's related to the Fibro or

something else is happening with my body. Sad thing is, neither can my

doctor(s) most of the time.

Hang in there, you're not alone!

, Irene is my middle name after a first cousin that died of Bright's

disease. My first name is . Glad that you like reading about the

trip. As you say, never say never. I did and looked how I end up. I never

thought that I would travel as much as I have. Miracles do happen.

Take care,

Irene

Well, the coverage

has ended, and I am back to bloomberg TV. They say there were 18

deaths...that is a lot, the whole thing is quite tragic and

sorrowful. I am just glad it wasn't worse, and my prayers go out

to those who lost so much during this storm. I know we could

have just as easily been victims, and are very lucky Irene

decided to bypass Florida. I don't know if Rob is ok, since I

have not heard from him since they left, except for a short

email telling me he was in Herkimer, and that was a few days

after they left, nothing since. So I don't know if he is/was

there or in Boston, or if he is ok. I hope he is safe.

Thank God you came through it safely, Kate. Please let us know when you hear news of Bob's boat. I was listening to the national news on the radio this morning about all the trees down and the flooding. I'm so glad it didn't hit as at Cat 1 hurricane but instead as a tropical storm. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. It was pretty bad here. Fortunately, we didn't take on much water in the basement. The winds whipped--I think they were 60mph. It poured. So many here have lost so much. The major roads are closed. The major highways were ALL closed; mass transit in the city came to a halt. It will take a very long time for the waters to stop rising. The Croton River and Hudson River, both relatively close to us were bursting. The Long Island Sound and LI itself got really hammered. We are awaiting news on my brother, Bob's boat which is anchored, pretty safely in the LI Sound.Wishing the waters would ebb and retreat...love,KateTo: MSersLife Sent: Sunday, August 28, 2011 7:51 PMSubject: Irene

Thank you dear Sharon. Although it was a tropical storm, there is still much devastation.

I am thunderstruck by the amount of water. People are losing their homes, businesses, and one school is completely under water. It is a tragedy. I am glued to the TV watching all the horrible events.

love to you and your family,Kate

..I'm so glad everyone survived Irene. So sad to see the destruction live on TV :(. You've really got to hand it to those reporters who risk so much in this case and in Eastern countries to bring us the news. I kept worrying about those seniors who refused to leave their highrise apt building ... hugs, Cait
