Guest guest
You are justified. Try the Iodine protocol, Please. It's helping me, it's cheap, and you can get anything you need online. I went to Walmart this morning to pick up my meds. I called my prescriptions in on Monday and one had expired so the doc had to be called. I checked on Wednesday and Walmart says it still didn't the right medication approved. It was for my Levothyroxin. Walmart said they had received one from the doc but it was for a lower dose than I take of the thyroid medication. I called the doc's office yesterday, explained the problem and they assured me they would fax over the order for the right dosage. So I went to the pharmacy today and they said the doc's office faxed a new script for that wrong lower dose. Grrrr.... so I will be out of thyroid medication in a few days. I am so angry with the doc's office. Walmart is an hour away (each way) and I don't drive. So I have a hard time getting there to pick up my medications. My doc knows all of that. I really like the doc but I think I need to find a new doctor now. And in a hurry because I am out of levothyroxin! Am I wrong to be so angry? hugs Sharon This email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Yes of course, especially when it’s a medicine that needs to be taken every day. If it was me I’d still take the lower dose at least to get you thru ‘til Monday. Or if you know what the mgs are that your higher dose is can you double up with the lower doses to make the higher dose? It might not be the Dr.s fault because all he does is sign the ‘script and then the MA calls it in. my last order for my thyroid was called in wrong too, and to the wrong pharmacy. I get mine compounded now [Armor porcine] and use a compounding pharmacy. In over 10 years of using the Walgreens brand of Armor thyroid my levels stabilized but never came down to an acceptable range. Since I’ve been using the compounding pharmacy I am getting normal levels now. I use porcine because its natural. If it were me, I’d call and talk to someone at your Dr.s office or the Dr. himself and let them know how upset this made you. Its sounds like it’s hard to find Dr.s in your area that you like, so it might not be to your advantage to switch until you get to the bottom of it. The receptionist at my Dr.s office has a really bad attitude, not only to the patients, but toward my Dr. too, an edge about her, and last time I was in I almost made a comment to her, but I held my tongue. Guest guest
Sharon,How often do you get your blood checked? Since I've been back on the levothyroxine, I've been getting my blood checked every 2 months. If there was a change in your thyroid levels in your blood, that could be a reason for the lower does. But, you are right to feel miffed until you can get this cleared up. Talk to the doctor if you do not get anywhere with the nurse. Also, talk with the pharmacist. If you have been using the same does of levothyroxine for a while, the pharmacist should question the lower dose. Donna in WA

Guest guest
Donna....I got my thyroid level checked a year ago and it showed I needed a lower dose. BUT, they didn't do the right test on me. They only did the basic test that never ever shows my true levels. I tried the lower dost at that time and within a month I was dragging and could certainly tell that level wasn't working for me. So the doc raised it back up to to 150. I've been on 150 mcg for over 15 years, steady. SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. And in a hurry because I am out of levothyroxin!Am I wrong to be so angry? hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
On the Iodine protocol I take 100 mg of iodine daily, along with 2000 vit C, 400 mg selenium, calcium. There is a yahoo list where you can learn all about it and it's effects. Just look up "iodine" under yahoo groups. It is run by a Dr who healed herself of cancer with Iodine. The welcome docs she sends when you join the group explains the whole thing. It's great! And it isn't expensive, either, I found a guy on eBay who sells the iodine for less then $9, it's called Lugols and is Iodine and Iodide. I got the 2.2% (that's 2.2 mg per drop), I got 4 oz and both Robbin and I take it (he gets 10 drops) and we've been on it for about 2 months and the bottle is still 1/2 full. You can also get 5% or 7%. What is that? Iodine protocol? Sharon This email is a natural hand made product.
