Does anyone know if there is any published literature suggesting (even speculating) that NSAIDs accelerate deterioration? As a non-professional, I can imagine that the effect from painkillers may be that the absence of feedback from pain that tells us to stop walking might make us walk more which would accelerate degeneration of the cartilege. I have been taking celebrex for a year, and it has made a big difference in my level of comfort, but .... Thanks much,
