Ya know...wow..all I can say is...wow. And Alan, your elogquent way

of putting words...I couldn't help but smile! And Chris's pandejo

comment-I lost it!

Not completely surprised as I guess we're all aware of the " risk " of

insurance companies not comin' through for us...but it's still hard,

even when ya half expect it. Of course you haven't been told " no "

yet, Alan...but sheesh, w/ the replies you got from other CIGNA fans

just from today's info? Dang! I thought BCCA was bad...CIGNA's not

looking much better. Hope they stand proud w/ BCCA.

And as to docs submitting the procedure as THR and " getting away with

it? " I don't know, this is for sure my personal opinion (and I

apologize in advance for offending anyone), but I can't go that

route...it's about karma - what goes around, comes around. I've

dealt with the good, bad and the ugly of karma in my life, and I

don't wanna deal with it under these circumstances. And yeah,

perhaps it's the surgeon's karma, or the " back office's " karma...but

if I choose to go that route, I'm part of it, and I chose not to go

there. Perhaps I'm bein' a bit " foofie " (sp?) about it...but, oh

well, it's who I am. Something I truly don't get it? How is it that

the procedure is submitted as a THR...gets approved...then the

patient gets an FDA-trialed hip resurf device that can't be

tracked 'cuz you're not supposed to have it? Isn't there some kind

of log to be kept, as to who gets what, etc.? Is this ok w/ the

FDA? Not sure if what I mean is being relayed, but it just doesn't

jive to me.

I think JRI " got caught " and it seems to me others will too. Kudos

to JRI for doin' what's ultimately right (though perhaps not in our

best interest financially) - 'cuz I said it once and I'll say it

again, what comes around goes around...again and again, good, bad,

ugly.

P.S. Got an email today from DeSmet - he's on vaca for a week! Tho

now he didn't say when it began or ended...I think he's back week's

end...or early next week - I'm guessing that is!
