Guest guest
I am scheduled for resurfacing in June with Dr. Gross and will hopefully opt for an epidural with sedation. The problem is that I ruptured my L4-L5 disk about 10 years ago requiring surgery to remove the disk material, so that IVD space is gone. What is the procedure for epidural placement and where is the epidural usually placed (high lumbar, low thoracic)? Once the epidural is flowing, are your legs totally paralyzed, or does the anesthetic simply block the sensation of pain? Thanks, Jim
