Looking at Resurfacing & making decision

HI, I'm 50 and active and am looking at hip resurfacing. I have been

seen by Dr. Gordan Allan at SIU and am a candidate. I am asking the

following questions for anyone who has experienced this procedure.

(1) Anyone familar with BC/BS Wisconsin and this procedure?

(2) Anyone been treated by Dr. Allan?

(3) Has it been everything you expected?

(4) I have the type of arthritis that grows bone, and he has talked

about post-op radiation to stop this from affecting the implant. Has

anyone experienced this?

(5) Has anyone got back to playing sports? Which Sports and how does

it feel?
