Leaving equipment at a hospital

Hello all -

Quick question, how do other departments handle re-usable equipment

(i.e. Vacuum splints, traction splints, etc...) that may be left at a

hospital with a patient?

Do you leave it and try to retrieve it, insist it must be taken off

patient prior to the EMS crew leaving, or do something else? Thanks for

the help.
