Guest guest
A whole department of surgical residents got introduced to EDS this morning...with my permission, I went " on display " for a short time, so they got an idea of the types of problems EDSers have, as well as a " demo " that should keep it in memory (I don't mind some demonstration -- my disjointing happens so easily that one or two done intentionally wouldn't even be statistically significant). My shoulders brought the usual " Oh my God, stop that " reaction; but my wrists moving in and out REALLy freaked them this time. In fact, the department head WAS the attending who did my last extraction; so they have no problem just doing it, and were somewhat bemused by the rejections I've been getting (I think I just scared them too much). So I lose this broken tooth next Tuesday. Nice to have my preparedness praised again...most docs are grateful to have all the pertinent information listed clearly and concisely, rather than frightened. One less thing to worry about. Curious, that the expectation of having a tooth pulled is less stressful than the effort it took to get the appointment!
