Medical records disappeared

Very shortly after my initial diagnosis, in my forties, my entire

medical record mysteriously " disappeared " instead of being transferred

to a new GP. One doctor said it had been sent, the next that it was

never received.

I was wondering if this or something similar might have happened to

anyone else in the group, particularly just after diagnosis?

Although I was not expressing displeasure with my previous doctor's at

the time for not catching the diagnosis say some thirty years earlier,

it has occurred to me since that it must be awfully difficult to sue

if no medical records exist, and it is possible that the timing of

this loss may not have been a coincidence, after all.
