CE event: Central Texas Airway Forum

Several Texas EMS agencies will be collaborating to host a first of its kind

training event in on January 21, 2012. On that date, a variety of

respected paramedics and emergency physicians will be conducting a continuing

education seminar on advanced airway management called the Central Texas Airway

Forum 2012. The sponsoring agencies are the City of Lockhart EMS, San

Marcos/Hays County EMS, Fire Department, County Emergency Corps, and

PHI/STAT Air 2.

Local paramedics are invited to attend the event, which will include both

lectures and skills scenarios. In an effort to limit costs, paramedics will

only be charged $10 to offset the cost of registration materials and issuing

continuing education certificates. The seminar will begin at 8 AM and end at 5

PM. Classes will be conducted at the Fire Department’s station 1 located

at 210 West Street in . First priority for registration will be given

to paramedics from the sponsoring agencies, but all paramedics are welcome to

attend on a space-available basis.
