Guest guest
Hi Marie, I would suggest you leave off panic until you have the word of your OS......... Being distressed will not make the problem go away............ if there is one........... It will all depend on just what bits have died - they could be the bits they grind off anyway..........only your OS will know that......... Such a situation sounds difficult in that you have to have some sort of guarantee that the bone will stop dying and not continue under the Resurface cap so best established now not in 6 months......... Only your doctor will be able to answer that question and may even need to go in there before you will know why the blood supply has failed to cause the AVN to happen.......... Life is certainly possible with a THR............ I have a friend who has an owner driver trucking business carting gravel and such like and has 2 of them........ He does fine - others do all sorts of things with them - and the fitter you are the better they go re dislocating.............I saw 70+ ballerina on TV one night doing the upside down splits with her's..........suspect most of us would be pushed to better that.............. And Totallyhip list has people talking of skiing etc so I can imagine with your determination you would soon be out there doing it so to speak................ Meanwhile I hope all does go well on Thursday, Edith LBHR Dr. L Walter Syd Aust 8/02 > > I'm scheduled for Left hip resurfacing on August 11th.
