Guest guest
Hi Sharon,…I canceled because from the antibiotic it gave me diarrhea all week, and it stays in your system for at least a week after your last dose, and I took it yesterday so it will continue to affect me for at least a few days now. So Fri. was too soon to have another appt. because she had me scheduled for 2-3 hrs. I just can’t stay in the chair that long. Its not like I can jump up and sprint to the bathroom if need be!  So I did reschedule for the 21st, and for only the worse of the two teeth. Maybe 1 hr tops. I hope. I don’t think she quite understood my limitations. I actually wasn’t nervous at the last appt. but then I was a little sedated so that took the phobic edge off. Lol…. I plan on doing it again next time. Much more pleasant experience. I’m not sure I will stay with her, as I found another dentist that has state of the art equipment and he can make the crowns right then so there’s no coming back or temps to deal with. Good for you making your appt. too! I’ll be thinking of you and saying a prayer for calmness and relaxation. Jackie If you cancel the appointment please make a new one at the same time. This advice is coming from a fellow dental phobic and I know the routine. There are always " reasons " to cancel/postpone dental appointments. Some of the reasons are very valid but some are just ways to postpone things:) I have made an appointment for the dentist too! My appointment is the 17th. I feel like such a big girl. lol The high country hasn't gotten snow yet but I think it's supposed to come today. My son drove his wife to work this morning because he was worried about her driving in the high winds and hard rain that is forecast for later this afternoon. He just called and said power lines were down in town and the rain was very hard. It's chilly here but we have a pile of firewood in the house if we need it. hugs SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. We are having very cold frosty nights, and lots of rain on the valley floor where I live. Yesterday it thundered and lightening for about a half hour. We got our first snow dusting in the mountains. Sharon did your mountains get the 15†that they were expecting? Isn’t it early for snow? I don’t know what is worse for me being so hot during the summer or freezing now? I can’t seem to find that happy medium. My teeth are better. I finished up the antibiotic last night, and I’m supposed to see the dentist on Friday. But the medicine causes a lot of tummy upset and this whole week I’ve been sick. So I will probably reschedule. It will be hard to do that when I don’t know about the weather and how I will feel ahead of time. That’s why I hate making appts. If its an emergency it doesn’t give me time to think about going, but if I have to wait then I am more likely to cancel. Especially if I have anything physically going on someplace else. It didn’t use to be this hard going out. When we went to the dentist last week we ended up going to the wrong building so I had to get back into the van, and out again when we finally realized she had moved to a building a few blocks away. Didn’t think to ask when I made the appt. Then her exam room was small and I have an oversized power chair so it was tight to try and get in and out of it. Luckily she was able to examine me in my chair. Something steve and I were discussing was how the handicap parking was only across from the building she was in. I thought they had to put spaces closer to the door. It wasn’t that far but I had to cross a alley type road to get to her building. When they were taking x-rays they use some type of contraption to hold the film in place and I don’t know what happened but later that night my right side of the inside of my cheek had all these little swelling bumps there. It didn’t hurt, but it was weird. Its okay now, back to being smooth, but [my medical aid son] said maybe I was allergic to the latex on the rubber thingy that was attached to the contraption that she kept having to put in and out to get it positioned right. Maybe it irritated my cheek? Well I suppose all of this is adding to anyone who is a dental phobic like me. it wasn’t all that bad, but I’m going to ask about if anyone else had any similar reactions? So for most of the week I ate soup which I found this wonderful egg flower w/tofu I think I told you about it in another e-mail. But I couldn’t put any pressure down on those teeth for a few days, and after the infection cleared up I’m able to eat regular food now. My grandson had his tonsils and adenoids out last Monday, and he is miserable. At 2-1/2 he just doesn’t understand why his throat hurts, and his tummy too. He isn’t eating much but popsicles, and soft foods, but I think he has to poop and the pain meds have him constipated. I feel so bad for him. But he’s already breathing better. His adenoids were huge and that was contributing to his sleep apnea. He quit breathing on the operating table too, which we found out later. As soon as the swelling goes down he shouldn’t have the apnea anymore. Fingers crossed! J maybe then he will sleep thru the night every night now. Well guess that’s my update, how about everyone else?Hugs, Jackie
