I realized tonight that exactly one week from right now, I will be

waking up from surgery & hoping to God that I have a resurf in there!

I have had a lot of transformational experiences along my journey

that I'd like to share; some may call some of these ideas 'flowy,

groovy' , so take what you want & leave the rest;

One week pre-surgery & I don't have any pain right now, at all! I

have been in the process of a healing journey & this is what has

helped me...

SWIM, SWIM, SWIM - I swim laps every day, which has helped my body

to realign, & also to elongate the muscles in my leg. I feel so

much better since making this a daily routine, it's unbelievable. I

also feel really strong, & healty for the surgery.

Do whatever you can to increase circulation - I have used swimming,

P.t. & massage. I would have also done acupuncture if I could have.

Physical Therapy - I have recently learned that there are 2 types of

P.T., one school is traditional, the other is ? I don't know what?

I have heard it called 'visceral manipulation' I have been doing

the latter pre-surgery, & she 'listens' to my body, and re-aligns,

what she 'hears' is wrong. I can't explain it, but I feel better,

so I don't care what it is. At one point in a session, she told me

that my kidney was way down in the wrong place, & she put it back in

the right place, now that was trippy!

REST & Nutrition - I work out every morning before I do anything

else. I've been really paying attention to my diet, getting enough

protein, etc. & taking supplements as needed pre-surgery, i.e.

iron. Also, it's really important to get enough sleep, & do

whatever you can to manage stress, because that does not help!

Spiritual Peace - Friends, this website, & meditation, amongst other

things, have decreased my anxiety & mentally prepared me for

surgery. I can't possibly overemphasize how important I think

support is, & I have been very greatful to have been flooded with

it. I feel as relaxed as I can possibly be given the circumstances,

& ready to go.

It is always easy to put things for yourself aside, with all excuses

under the sun of why other things are more important. I'm really

grateful that I have made these life changes, & I plan to continue

them post-surgery.

Good luck to everyone on your own journeys!

Peace,
