Guest guest
Hi Caro Soy is your friend. They're discovering more and more benefits to soy. It lowers cholesterol, reduces the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancers. It also may reduce osteoporosis and alleviate symptoms of menopause. Are you lactose intolerant? I reason I ask is that you should still try to have some dairy in your diet. The calcium in your soy milk is good but the calcium found in dairy products is different. The active (live) components are very beneficial in building bones, cartledge and all that good stuff. Dairy products are also proving to aid in weight loss. Enjoy your Soy! Guest guest
Caro - We eat lots of soy in our family - we drink mostly soy milk. I don't do dairy - I'm not lactose intolerant - but I do have a problem with casein - one of the protiens in milk. I've been using soy products since 1998 without problem - kids and hubby haven't had a problem either. However, as with everything moderation is the key. I know for myself how easy it is to go overboard - I do it all the time - my latest is unsweetened soy milk with soy protien powder and strawberries - oh so good. I try to limit myself to one per day, but it is soooo hard. I say if you like it - keep eating and drinking it and see how your body reacts. So glad you found something you like!
