Guest guest
Hi all, I am SLOW to respond to injury. [EDS or the Autonomic problems -- who knows :-(]. I believe when I hurt my wrist on June 6. Almost eight days later I only then noticed a penny size bruise. Today, the wrist has finally decided to hurt. Now it's a raw pain. Sorry for my bad pain descriptions :-). That is worse than my typical " insensitivity to pain " or " indifference to pain. " For example, sitting on something. I can sit on something hard [not sharp] -- with my soft self. About five minutes later, eventually, I begin to realize I am on something. Typically I can be a bit surprised that I did not notice it. Bill and I used to think it was funny years ago. He would say I cannot find the car keys. Are you sitting on them. I would say no. He would tell me to look anyway and surprise, surprise. Well, it not funny anymore. My other strange symptom. Holding a light shoulder bag or even hand bag. I would have to look down at my hand to see if I was still holding it. I noticed that after a time, I could not feel that it was on my shoulder or in my hand. In life, I got use to this but now I wonder. Not to mention my test for skin pain April 2nd 2004, when the Neuro-vascular stroke specialist " whacked " me with a cord that had pins in it. I asked him if the pins were blunt or sharp and if the test he was doing was supposed to hurt. I told him I could feel the pins hit me. I can feel a touch. Hurt. Naaaaa. Okay, the best I can say is my wrist now feels like I could use an ace bandage to stabilize it. Help! This is why I do not typically go to the doctor. This does not make sense. It should hurt like this June 6th. And if the pain continues .... PLEASE, pain continue long enough for me to call the doctor and get there, maybe I can get help. I hate my body. The sensation of pain is necessary, grrrrrrrr. Hey a NEW DISCOVERY JUST NOW: If I try my EDS trick of rotating my wrist all the way around ... I cannot do it with the left wrist right now. Hmmmmm. Got it. I am getting pain when I turn my palm up. Or when I turn the palm to type. Ouch. Uncle. What type of doctor do I need for this? Caro.
