Wimberley EMS is seeking an EMT-Paramedic to fill apermanent full time position.

The ideal candidate would be competent, energetic, compassionate, outgoing, and

customer service minded. In return Wimberley EMS provides a competitive salary

Wimberley EMS is a 911 EMS service that was established in 1976. We now have 13

full-time paramedics and staff 2 ambulances 24 hours a day.

Wimberley EMS covers over 200 square miles of the beautiful Wimberley valley in

western Hays County,Texas which includes the communities of Wimberley, Woodcreek

and portions of Driftwood. We serve an estimated population of 16,000, and run

approximately1600 calls a year.

Minimum Employment Requirements:

•National Registry or Texas Paramedic Certification

•AHA CPR

•ACLS

•PALS

•BTLS or PHTLS

•Must be at least 18 years of age.

•Possess a valid Texas State Driver’s License or be able to obtain one.

•Driving record in compliance with WEMS policy regarding insurability.

•Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

•Must be able to pass a written exam

•Must be able to successfully complete a megacode scenario

•Must be able to pass a criminal background check

•Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Minimum Education Requirements:

•High School Diploma or GED

Desirable Qualifications:

•EMS Instructor’s Certification (Or desire to become an instructor)

•Some advanced education preferred. Some past work experience, preferably in

healthcare desired.
