Scanner Worked, De Smet Sept. 29, 2004

I went to pick up my X-rays from Dr. Mont yesterday and they could

not find them. Long story short, I got new X-rays taken and scanned

them into scanner at work. placed them in " my documents " and

attached them to e-mail to Dr. De Smet that I sent at 4:45 p.m.

I was very concerned because the quality of my X-rays were not the

best compared to others that I have seen of my hip. One thing I

could see in the X-rays was that my hip was a lot worse since the

last ones taken in March.

Dr. De Smet responded to me at 5:19 p.m. Guys thats 34 minutes! He

said that I had a very bad hip and said to disregard taking non

steroidal inflammaories! I was still candidate for resurfacing and

he would see me on Sept. 29. So thats it, if everything goes well.

September 29, 2004. It feels so good to say a date.

The non steroidal inflammaories is bad though. I am taking between

15 and 20 200mg Ibuprofen a day because of pain. I can not take

strong stuff (narcotics) because it makes me sick. Any suggetions

for pain management between now and surgery?

Off to start making arrangements.
