Guest guest
Hi Sharon & nThe black mold is on the back ground, hey, got better things to do that wipe off mold. LOLThanks n for liking the post, although I'm not sure what's so special about it. And I like the bowl for the coffee, hey, we can never have too much coffee.Sharon, the pole is to go into the ground beside the tree, then my Mom can pull it together with an old pantyhose to keep the branches of the tree from growing all over. The tree will be a bit more straight and upward. My brother came by with his hammer, or rather HAMMEEEEERRRRRR!!!! Damn, that thing is huge. Mom couldn't move it, but he can. Sometimes it's great to have a guy around to do stuff. So he hit the poles into the ground, without any trouble. So now we can try and keep the trees more straight.Okay, now for the exciting news. We started painting our house today. Yeah, now Sharon, what was that about not over doing it???? LOL We started at the front porch, I will send pics later. Now it was a bit tough, because I started with it at about 12:30 pm. I first had to wash the walls a bit, not fun at all. My niece was here helping. Karina is 10 years old and is eager to do anything that Lollie does. LOL She's my number one fan. The walls are a soft green and the roof will be chocolate brown. Bet you chocolate lovers are ready to pack your bags and come over for the paint, right??? Well, I feel very good about the progress we made today, got the side that I washed painted with the first coat. It felt great to paint again, I must admit there were times, especially after I got my walker that I thought painting will never be able for me again. Oh yeah, I even stood on my extremely high ladder that we bought a year or so ago. Are you hanging on to your chairs??? It's a total of 2 whole steps. Now please stop laughing, it's high enough for me. LOLSo tomorrow I will put on the second coat and then we'll see if we can get a bit further with the rest of the porch. The roof is a big problem, hey, 2 step ladder doesn't go that far. So my brother will have to do that. Not sure when it will happen. Now the porch's roof on the inside of the porch (hope it made sense to you) will be painted white, but working with my head under the paint, I'm not sure it will do. And again, 2 step ladder. Thank goodness for that. It's high enough to reach the roof there, but still very difficult. It's feeling as though my arms are tearing out of their sockets. I hurt in places that I can't even remember. But hey, if I'm really lucky, maybe I will be losing some weight again. I've lost a lot of pounds when I painted the house the first time, 10 years ago. Then of course, I was a lot younger then and had a lot more strength. Like Sharon said, funny how we had strength, once upon a time. Oh yeah, I even carried the paint can outside on the porch, it's a 20 liter paint can, and still full. So you can try and figure out how heavy that thing is. Ten years ago I could carry it from the car and lifted it up high to get up on the step at the porch as well. Oh old age is such a let down.So enough of all my strange stories, maybe I should get this sorry sore butt into bed. Bet I'll sleep like a baby tonight, feeling very proud. I really started painting the house. Been planning this for about 4 years, got the paint oh about 3 to 4 months. So I'm a very happy gal.Take care, be good and if you want to get into trouble, oh please, don't call me. I don't think I have any strength left for getting into trouble. So you're on your own.Love you all & Mom
