Guest guest
Well I finally went to the dentist yesterday and it wasnt nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Mom made the appointment and told them I hadnt been to a dentist in a while and all I wanted done was my wisdom teeth looked at. She also explained breifly about EDS to them. Well I get there and I know the one receptionist. I had went to school with her. So we talked for a few minutes and she told me to sit down and they would be out for me shortly. Well the other receptionist just turns to her and says " Just becasue you know her doesnt mean we know her. You have to fill out these forms " . It was actually pretty funny. I filled out the form to the best of my abilities. Those things are actually fairly complicated to fill out! I mean 'Do you have an illness requireing surgery?' would EDS count since I have had my knees done? 'Do you bruise and / or bleed abnormally / easily' Well I bruise easy but have no bleeding problems! Oh well. I went into the little room with the chair and got 'comfortable' lol. The dental assistant came in and talked with me and put that little bib thing on and asked a few questions about the forms I filled out. Then the dentist came in and started looking at my wisdom teeth. Well my top right has no where to go so it is coming out the side of my gum towards my cheek. The bottom left one he say was trying to do something but couldtn. I then went for xrays and found out that me two bottom ones where horizontally impacted and the top left one was diagonaly impacted (towards the other teeth) so I have to get all four at asap. He gave me a Rx for an antibiotic which I am really hating right now. He put me on amoxicillan for about 8 days. That has brought about me feeling like crap as antibiotics generally do. Feel like I am on the verge of a sinus infection (which I think was brought aboutby the last batch of meds but wasnt cured as it was only 3 days worth) so maybe this longer batch will work better for that. Also my teeth are hurting so much more no than they did before. I have been taking the asprin equivalent of a T1. Taking like 2 every four hours lately . Well I go on August 9th for the appointment with the oral surgeon. According to the receptionist you can be in within a week if you have it done in the office and 2 weeks if its in the hospital. Dad called the oral surgeons office yesterday to see if we could scedule an appt so I didnt have it done so close to school (they were booking august 31st for hospital) and found out they can do generals in the office. So hopefully I should be getting them out soon. Stacey
