I don't know if there is a ruling on it or not( I am sure there is in the

CFR's) The comment on THE LINE, i.e. the difference between inland waters

and international waters... That depends on where you are , it is posted

on your nautical maps, now the funny for the line of demarcation for

Beaufort ,NC ( that would be Booo fort) can be seen from the ferry docks of

front

street in town, because the line runs between Shackleford banks and Fort

Macon, so if you go out the Beaufort Inlet it might be a mile offshore.....
