Guest guest
Hi all Well I can hardly believe it but my parents have agreed to have their blood tested to see if the VEDS mutation was passed to me or if it was new. My husband actually spoke with their family doctor (I also spoke with my parents) Sometimes they don't understand the medical stuff so I thought it better to have their family doc do the talking. I guess the genetecist (who we see this Friday to have my son's bloodwork done) will write a letter to their doctor and then the ball will be rolling. I know its not much in the way of exciting news but I thought it was going to be a real problem for them to agree. We of course are very worried about our older son and are praying he does not have the gene. It amazes me that it has taken almost a year to the day since our son died to find out things.Well wish us luck. P.S. To Hang in there I know this is so frustrating when you know that things hurt and your kids are hurting and it seems no one is listening. Don't give up......things will bet better!!!
