>>>Purchasing shoes upsets her totally as she can never wear slip on shoes,

one is always way too loose and won't stay on. <<<

I know exactly what you are talking about.

Try her with open toed and striped back shoes.

This did wonders to my self esteem when I was a teen and works today too.

The bunion will fit better in the open to and the sling back (with a strap

that can be chinced up even if you have to poke more holes in the strap)

will hold like glue.

You might have to get her two shoe sizes for a special occasion but I think

the open toe strap heal will look just lovely.

I have these sort of calves that you are talking about and have gotten many

a whistle in my day for it. Tell her to hang in there! Soon, very soon

those beautiful legs will be a terrific asset to her!

I too have bunions and tiny lax ankles and this is my magic solution.

These are quite popular right now with low, med and high heals.

Pick some up for her to wear into her 30's the style never goes out!

She could not be nearly as active as previously since she

my toes as a kid. Doctors back then spotted the same

thing with my father & said he and I actually had the tendons & muscles

attached

in the wrong spots in our legs! I did years of exercise to try to

strecth

those out, but still am not comfortable wearing any flat shoes nor

walking

flatfooted when barefoot!
