Guest guest
The Canadian Abilities Foundation has an ongoing volunteer opportunity that is flexible, fun and allows you to help other people with disabilities without having to leave home. We are inviting everyone, especially people with disabilities to participate in our Access Guide Canada project (AGC). AGC strives to bring you the most accurate listings on accessible resources across Canada. This is your opportunity to share what you know about accessibility in your community. By adding your own favourite accessible locations you can help make the AGC site a great resource for everyone. Getting started is easier than setting up a hotmail account. To set up your member account, go to the AGC page (click on the large Access Guide Canada logo on the Enablelink home page). Once on the AGC page click the add a listing link. All that is required from you for a membership is to select a user name and password. Membership is free but it does have it's privileges. You can make sure your community is represented in AGC. You can highlight the businesses and services that you feel do a great job serving people with disabilities. You can also subscribe to our informative E-zine the Enablelinker. Don't hesitate to take part. You can commit as much or as little time as you want. For every assessment you add to AGC there is someone somewhere now able to visit your community and feel welcome! Working together we can make Canada the best possible place for a person with a disability to live and visit. If you have any questions or need more information contact Staddon, Volunteer Coordinator, Canadian Abilities Foundation, 501-489 College St., Toronto, M6G 1A5. Ph: Fax: E-mail: christine@...
