Right on Barb, Sometimes in life you must take risks, and it certainly paid off in that case. There need to be more people that are willing to get involved. God Bless, love, and hugs, abarb holkins wrote:

Gee whiz, what a heart stopping time you must have had playing at detective. You did a very good job. We need more people who are willing to get involved a little.

A few years ago I got involved also. I could have cost me my job and could have caused sanctions to my attorney boss but I was not comfortable with the knowledge that I had. Is something had happened to a child because I kept my mouth shut I would never had been able to live with myself. I call one of the locale deputies who was a friend of hubby and me and told him what I knew and the consequences if it was found out that I told. He did an excellent job. There is a day care very near this person's home and the cop went there and explained who the new neighbor was. Lo and behold, this day care person loves to talk. The next week we were with a bunch of friends and they were all talking about this pervert. About a year later I let my boss know what I had done. He though I handled it well and was glad that I did.

Good Morning

I was jsut reading a post about child molestation and am so sorry to hear that that has happened.

Now to something very disturbing here where I live. On Thursday tthe school sent home a letter stating that this man tried to pick up a girl on her way to the middle school and gave a description of the van and the man driving it. I was on my way to take Tyler to church and low and behold here is a van matching the same description as the one in the letter so I turned around and followed him and got on my cell phone with the lcoal police. They had me pull over to the side of the road as he had pulled into a Hess station and watch to see if he left and what direction he was going in. He did leave and I got a few cars behind him and called them back at which time they kept me on the phone and had me telling them which way he was going etc. He pulled into a park for kids that is only 1 year old and they told me to park in a spot in another section of the park and watch him as I had Tyler with me and neither of us wanted anything to happen to him. They asked

if there was a Greenport Town Police car there as that is now where we were. No, Stay on the line and tell me when a Hudson patrol car comes in. They were just getting there and a total of 3 Hudson Patrol cars as well and a Greenport car all pulled up at the same time and boxed in the van. At that time we left and Tyler wanted to see if they were arresting him and when we went back past there you could see the man in handcuffs. Thank God. Hopefully they have the right man. Everything matched to the T that was in the letter. I am so glad that I had that letter sitting on the dashboard with the number to call. One less criminal on the streets here.

Tyler thinks that we are heros and I told him no I was just doing what is right as a citizen and happened to be at the right place at the right time and that hopefully there is one less person on the street to try to do something harmful to a child.

Other than that I am still busy with little league. Thank God Tuesday is the last they are having all stars championship playoff and that will be the end of the sports until the fall when soccer starts.

I can then post more as right now the baseball takes up so much of my time and energy.

I have to go as I have to go pick him up from church and then go to the Sprint store as my cell phone is acting up. It is almost a year old but still under warranty so I need to take care of it before the warranty runs out.

Hope everyone is having a good day and a pain free one at that.

Take care
