Guest guest
I had a cat scan of my lung and blood draw and seen a stomach dr. all in one day. I am not sure how I feel about having this scope thing in 2 weeks. I have never had anything like this done. I hope it isn't that big of deal. I am on coumadin 10mg a day plus an asprin to inhance the coumadin. And that scope deal is scary to me. The dr. really didn't explain much to me other than we run it down your throat and you will be sedated. Does that mean asleep or awake? I do not like the idea of being awake I hope I am asleep. I can give myself shots. I can watch anything gross but I do not like the feeling of not being able to breath. I panic. If anyone has had this done tell me what to exspect. I handle things better knowing what to exspect. The not knowing scares me. thanks love bunches MISSY
Guest guest
Missy, what your going to have done is what is called an endoscopy. It is very safe. I have had over 2 dozen done, and actually I love them now =) Sedated means they put you out so yes you will be asleep but they don't use general so you can go home after you awake and feel up to it. This test is one of the easiest us lupies have to go through. When I was on coumadin I had a couple of them and it wont affect you, just let the nurse and doctor know you took your dose that morning or whenever you take it. You have nothing to fear when it comes to this test and if you want to learn more about it you can always type in Endoscopy in your search engine to learn about it. It's actually neat to watch if you watch the video of it afterwards. Take care sweetie and talk with you soon.
