Guest guest
Very happy you're out of the " cage " and back in your own little nest . You have been sorely missed. I have a cousin who has congestive heart problems. She doesn't have lupus but IS a cancer survivor (esophagus). She has lived with the heart problem for several years and as long as she takes her meds she does very well (don't know what meds she takes). She needs extra rest so naps are essential. She's 63 yrs old, has a busy family life, takes care of her 89 yr old mother, and often cares for her grandchildren. It's amazing what good treatments are available these days. The family was very worried when she was first diagnosed but all of us have been happily surprised by her continued success with the handling of it. She also has a postitive attitude towards life and always has. In fact I've envied her this because being consistently even tempered has not been my long suit. In other words, " short fuse " is more my style. I work on it though. But hers is effortless. I'm sure this has contributed much to the progress she has made with the heart condition. Just thought you might like a success story about someone who shares your illness. So happy the ulcer was discovered and can now begin to heal. This may be a big factor in giving your body more strength to keep the water retention down. Sure hope so anyway. Lots of love, C.
