Guest guest
Mandi, Ok, honey, you asked for it...I have the following all "at once": SLE, RA, Fibro, Sjogren's, Anemia, Chronic Lyme's, Type II Diabetes, and a myriad of other symptoms which defy description. I was dx'd between the ages of 30 and 45, but started having problems as early as age ten. So, yes, to answer your question, it is possible to have more than one autoimmune disorder at a time. I have lived with this combination for a very long time. Being stubborn and assertive has certainly helped me stay alive this long. Hope that information answers your query? Guest guest
Mandi, my sister, myself and two of our cousins have both fibro and lupus. With two of us they found fibro first and then later the lupus and with my sister and the other cousin, it was lupus first then fibro. guess it comes down to what symptoms are showing when we see the dr, a
Guest guest
A LOT of doctors claim you cannot have both Lupus and Fibro but they are mistaken. I believe that when your Lupus is not in a flare or it's in remission that that is the time when the Fibro takes over. So, no matter what we are ALWAYS in pain. It takes special people to have both of these dis-eases (plus more on top of them). WE are stronger then we give ourselves credit for.
