Guest guest Posted June 25, 2004 Report Share Posted June 25, 2004 Well, I will off that everyones body chemistry works quite differently and that is why it may take a few combinations, to come up with something that works for an particular individual. In my personal experience I was on flexeril for approximately 10 years and it worked fantastic for me. But yet I can't take Naprosyn because it makes me drunk. So go figure. And your body changes as you age. I used to not be able to tollerate Soma at all, because it made me extremely sick, but now they give it to me when I have bad times and it works to help me sleep. Don't give up, just know that you may have to try a few things before finding something that is compatible with your body. I can relate to hoe it affects your family and how it gewts to us sometimes. PLease know you are not alone. I think the meds help...but the disease alone with its ups and downs makes our bodies and minds irritable. Also, chronic pain is not good for our outlook.
