To Pam and Becky,

Well, at least my rheumatologist doesn't discount anything or try to

put some kind of blame on me. In fact, we had a good laugh at my last

visit -- my ANA and CR-P were in the " normal " range, albeit at the

very edge of the highest normal reading -- but there I was with my

ankles and knees swelled like balloons! On the day the blood was

drawn, I wasn't doing too badly but a few days later, boom! These

diseases are so unpredictable and changeable that the last thing we

need to hear are stupid comments from doctors!

Pam, what exactly is RA and Lupus overlap? I'm taking Plaquenil,

Methotrexate, Celebrex and Ultram for pain but I keep wondering if

there isn't a different Lupus medication that would help me. I'm

lucky in that I'm a teacher and don't have to deal with work right

now, but I'm hoping to be better stabilized when I have to return to

the classroom.
