What you can expect (hopefully) in 6-8 weeks...feeling a whole lot better. It does take time for plaquenil to work, but it is worth the weight. Welcome to the new members. I am sorry for the delay...but have been battling a flare for about 3 weeks now. I went to my rheumy 2 weeks ago. She is absolutely the best doctor in the world. I sure wish you all could have the doctor I have. She not only takes time for my health issues but has taken the time to get to know me as a person. Even my husband and daughter thinks she's the greatest. Three months back she had me lowered my plaquinil and now she has upped it again. Hopefully it will bring me around again. She told me if there is no difference in a couple weeks to give her a call and she would put me on that dreaded p word. I don't think I will be calling her, as I avoid predisone like the plague. ....so glad you are doing so much better. I know you will do just fine. My thoughts are with you. I just hope you can keep your health in check. Enjoy your visit with your brother. MM...it's so nice to log on and see you again. Sure do hope you keep getting better. Kimi...welcome back....I'm so glad you had a chance to get away and have fun. I am so over due a vacation. I am so far behind on the postings, and I had so much to say, but I can't remember it all. Wishing you all a very happy and pain free weekend. Love & Friendship, Ellen
