Guest guest Posted April 22, 2002 Report Share Posted April 22, 2002 Age range:46 1/2 female: What are the symptoms?Muscle pain, trigger point pain, fibrofog, CFS, blurred vision, daily headaches, IBS, sleepless nights, muscle cramping, weight gain, muscle weakness...end on and on and on.... Has you illness been diagnosed?Yes How long did you suffer before you got help?severe suffering 7 years Is there a time that you can remember when it started?I had Mono and never recovered...and ruptured a disk in my back. Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? YES!!!!! I am 40#'s over weight Are you on disability?NO If you are any pointers for others trying to get on disability? What have you found that helps ease the pain, warm baths, medications etc.? Warm baths, stretching, and a nap Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? I used to wake up at least 12 -15 times a night, went through a sleep study for apnea. NO apnea but muscle jerking that would wake me up. On Flexeril Do you have family that understands your illness? YES my husband is very understanding of my pain. But does understand how it could happen to me a type A go getter. Some have found certain foods causes problems with CFS or Fibro, have you?anything with MSG triggers a huge flare What type of Doctor have you found that has helped you the most?Rheumatologist finally told me that I was not a wacko. I would go to my doctors and other doctors and they would do blood test and then say come back when you feel bad again.
