We have had ongoing issues with groups that combine diets and still call them SCD plus whatever else they are doing. Some GFCF advocates actually asked why we meanies don't allow a few illegal treats once in a while. The bad gut bugs loved this idea biut Elaine did not!. I urged some of the moderators to have the courtesy to direct beginners to Pecanbread so they could get " the real deal " and being principled people they kindly complied which was duly appreciated. Some parents who " combined' ended up with pretty sick kids and came back to roost here SCD is a trademarked diet and cannot be tampered with and still be called SCD. As one poster here noted we can all do as we please but I am pointing out that it may not be SCD and in such a case should not be labelled as such. Six years in daily harness with SCD has taught me the importance of complying as much as is possible. Sorry if I have come on so much and so strong today. I think I'll give it a rest for a few days so you can enjoy life without my " third grade teacher " attitude. Carol F.
