Guest guest
Hello everybody I just joined this list a couple of days ago and I have a question. Is it possible for you to have some sort of muscle trauma/damage but not have it hurt until a couple of days later? I went to the rheumatologist last week and he did the little tender point exam and now just today every single spot he prodded hurts like heck today. Could this just be delayed pain or am I just hurting for the heck of it today? I'm also pretty achy today because I actually cleaned the house this weekend (and did a darn good job of it if I do say so myself and now I'm stiff and sore but the tender point spots are more pain than ache so I don't think that part is from the housecleaning. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. This past winter, I shovelled myself out of my parking space. Two days later, I was in agony. My shoulders and upper back hurt so bad I couldnt' walk. I think you can definitely have delay. Although now with fibromyalgia, I am not sure what makes things hurt from one day to the next. LOL, let's face it, I can't remember things from one day to the next I think with fibro normal activities can set off a lot of pain if we are not ready for them. Guest guest
Though I never experienced such a delay, I just read in a book that it is possible for someone with FMS to feel pain (from excersise) days later.
