My boyfriend is very understanding and supportive, but he can't understand like someone with fibromyalgia does. My pain started in my chest only and was first diagnosed as just costochondritis, then it spread throughout my body, then they have diagnosed it as fibro. Take care, it sure is nice to have people to talk to that know what you are going through and can relate and help you with questions. Yes - 3 years How long did you suffer before you got help? The only help that I can get (per specialist) is drugs & " nothing else I can do " Is there a time that you can remember when it started? Shortly after bad car accident in 1998 Some of us have found lack of exercise we are overweight. Have you found this to be a problem also? Yes Are you on disability? For Christmas my husband bought me a massage mat - if I use it for longer than intended then it helps by " tingling the pain Do you have sleep problems? How do you deal with it? Yes - If I can, I take a nap in the afternoons or sleep in - many times I've fallen asleep (not by choice) before I realize it Do you have family that understands your illness?
