Guest guest
Well, the pain is pretty well controlled now and the swelling in my ankles and hands has come down. But now I can't sleep because of heartburn and sometimes vomitting! It only happens at night -- of course, sigh. I have to " sleep " sitting up because as soon as I turn on my side (yes, I'm a right-side sleeper, LOL), I get horrible heartburn, gas and sometimes I throw up. I don't know if I'm now having GI problems or if it's a side effect from the medications; I've been on my meds for six weeks and this is a new thing within the past week. (I'm taking Methotrexate by injection, Plaquenil, Celebrex, Foltx, plus Calcium supplements.) Help!!!!!! -Anne
Guest guest
hi Not that I am an MD by any means, but it sounds like its GI related...whether or not its from the meds or something else who knows?? Have you tried taking whatever meds you can in the morning? or sometimes even a glass of milk helps (yuck, i hate milk)...(why does everything thats good for you have to taste bad?). Anyway,,,you should definitely see someone about it as those things tend to get worse rather than better! Hope you feel better soon! Guest guest
Jullie-Anne, Have they tried to give you the combination of Zofran and Bentyl for your vomiting and such? I had lost over 50 pounds in a month because of similar problems and wound up in the hospital dehydrated and having a surgery for other issues. Since they started me on those, it's been a lot better. I had tried phenegren before that but it didn't help. Anyway, just a thought, a
