It is good to hear that some are having sucess with long term antibiotic

treatment. I would, however, take caution when considering this regimen. It

seems that we who suffer from Fibro/CFS get much more intense colds, and if

you are already taking long term antibiotics, the antibiotics are not going

to help your cold as quickly. I have had pneumonia and chronic bronchitis,

and when it kicks up, I need those antibiotics to work!

A very good point. I also have asthma and quite a few people on the

asthma group say that the *moment* they come down with a cold that they

get put on antibiotics and that I should be doing the same. This didn't

seem like a very good idea to me since my asthma isn't that severe and I

don't want to run the risk of becoming immune. So I asked my asthma

doctor about it, and he very strongly poo-pahed the idea. So I would

think it's probably harder to find a doctor who would agree to this

anyway.

It is also a fact that we are taking to many antibiotics and that there is a

chance that they will soon lose there effective on some illness. Some are

already doing that and I am like Missy I want them there when I need them.

Take care,
