Guest guest
I’m sorry a. That must be tough. Is she ill with something of just hooked? Most truly ill people are very cautious about pain meds, ask any of us. 'Sue, my sister does this. She had stopped for a few weeks but is back in action. I hate it because we have her son and he got so excited when he talked to her on the phone and she was sounding so good for those days. Thank God he didn't go back home or he would be having even a harder time. It's been seven months now since she has seen her son and she still doesn't see that there is a problem. We just keep praying that these DR's will get wise. We tried to tell them but you can't get past the front nurse because of all the new privacy laws. I just know that one of these days she is going to fall asleep and just not wake up. a I understand how you feel. I know I would have been pissed and probably not nice. BUT, I do know people who do the dr shopping and take lots of pain meds from different drs who don't know about the others. Sue
Guest guest
Well, actually in this case Cheryl she is very ill. She is the one who started me with this group as a support for her lupus. She also has fibro like me. I am greatfull for that because then last year when I did get real sick and they dx'd my lupus it wasn't so hard. Several members here, including , had been gently nudging me to check into it because of the symptoms. It made it not be so scary for me and I was already educated enough to ask the right questions of the DR and also had a great place to come in case I had something happen that one of the members might better understand. Now she doesn't belong on here, I think it is because her son lives with us now and we aren't as close for lots of reasons. Anyway, she started getting pain pills from her first DR then she got them from her rheumy and even signed a paper that she would only take pain meds from him. We have really been trying to get her some help but sadly they said that unless she does some harm to herself, they can't do much because they cant even really talk to us about her case anyway. We have to wait until she winds up in a an emergency room or something and hopefully it wont be too late. a I’m sorry a. That must be tough. Is she ill with something of just hooked?
