I am learning a lot here... but can you tell me what is bad about

fluoride? Is it just bad for thyroid folks, or anyone? My kids are

It's bad for thyroid because it hugely supresses it - back before

they had antithyroid meds they used fluoride for hypers because it

worked that well.

With respect to the studies that show how 'well' it works to help

teeth there are just as many that show it doesn't do a damned

thing.

Other halogens like flourine (adulterated water) and bromine (added to flour and

pastries and sodas, I think, in the US) and chlorine (disinfectant in pools,

homes) bind to the places that iodine would naturally be bound to. These other

halogens (esp flourine and bromine) are probably responsible for a lot of the

universal epidemic of low thyroid, obesity, and cancer. Chlorine in a known

carcinogen.

Before my DD's teeth came in we gave flouride drops. Gawd, if I had only known,

then, what I know, now! I never should have allowed any flouride into her. The

flouride scam was a way for toxic waste to be marketed at a high profit. As soon

as I get my brain back I'll remember where I hid the urls about flouride from

myself....

There are much clearer explanations than this...but it's a start.

I do not take flouride now that I have Hashi, but I am adopted, so my cousins,

adopted sister and I are not related or even the same nationality. All of us had

flouride treatment as a kid and all of us have only had 3 cavities or less. I am

telling my daughter to get flouride treatment on their kids teeth.

I do not take flouride now that I have Hashi, but I am adopted, so my cousins,

adopted sister and I are not related or even the same nationality. All of us had

flouride treatment as a kid and all of us have only had 3 cavities or less. I am

telling my daughter to get flouride treatment on their kids teeth.

Tell whomever told you that to go jump in a lake!!!! Go online, do a

search! Do you know that the men who have to fill the fluoride hoppers in

water treatment plants need to have their blood tested multiple time per

month? Give me a day or so and I will post a link to some information that

everyone with Grand Children and most of their own teeth should read. It

will cost you some $$, but the money you spend is well worth it.

I will tell you this. The dentist who wrote this material was a regular

dentist, but very early on in his career he started thinking about the

relationship to teeth and bones . . . So he thought if bones heal why won't

teeth? So he figured out how to keep your teeth unless they are way to far

gone. But the thing is if you teach the little ones his techniques they

should have great teeth until they die. The one thing I do not like that

he teaches is use of a fluoride mouthwash. But you could change that to a

3% hydrogen peroxide solution, or use oregano oil.

I have a tooth in my head right now that the dentist wanted to pull because

it would cost to much to rebuild it. I said why not just fill it the way

it is? He looked surprised and said why not. Well he filled it with

amalgam. Amalgam, not good. It fell out, which is good and bad, but I am

hoping it has passed through a long time ago. The tooth he wanted to pull,

has healed. When I went back in a few years later, for some other teeth,

the assistant looked at the tooth and asked what it was filled with, and he

said must be some kind of composite filling. (When your teeth heal they

heal with a brown color.) The dentist didn't even realize it had healed.

Fluoride is toxic. I would never give it to my kids....You may want to

read more about it.

I have 3 kids, 25 22 and almost 8. None of them have

cavities or fillings in their teeth....they have not had any fluoride.

We use Toms without Fluoride in it....or tooth powder.

Fluoride compounds which are put in water (fluoridation), toothpaste and

supplement tablets (including some vitamins) were never tested for

safety before approval. Recent independent research by scientists not

1. *Neurotoxic and Lowers IQ*

In 1995, neurotoxicologist and former Director of toxicology at

Forsyth Dental Center in Boston, Dr. Phyllis Mullenix published

exposed to moderate levels. Damage to the brain occured and the

behavior patterns of the animals was adversely effected. Offspring

given fluoride experienced the opposite effect -- hypoactivity or

significant extent. Avoid putting fluoridated water in humidifiers. Many

non-organic juices have large amounts of fluoride from pesticide

residues. It is best to juice your own vegetables and fruits from

organic produce or go to a health food store to purchase organic juices.

Avoid toothpastes that have fluoride even if the manufacturers claim

that the fluoride came from " natural " sources. Even though topical

fluoride treatment may have an effect to help remineralize cavities at

the early stages, the combination of a healthy diet, proper dental

hygiene and saliva can have a similar effect. It is impossible to avoid

swallowing some fluoride from fluoridated toothpaste. I have tried

various toothpastes and current use the natural Weleda toothpaste with

baking soda. I like that fact that it does not contain fluoride or the

detergent, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS).

Avoid toothpastes that have fluoride even if the manufacturers claim

that the fluoride came from " natural " sources. Even though topical

fluoride treatment may have an effect to help remineralize cavities at

the early stages, the combination of a healthy diet, proper dental

hygiene and saliva can have a similar effect. It is impossible to avoid

swallowing some fluoride from fluoridated toothpaste. I have tried

various toothpastes and current use the natural Weleda toothpaste with

baking soda. I like that fact that it does not contain fluoride or the

detergent, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS).

well here is where we will have to agree to disagree. Though it seems to be that

genetically your kids are lucky, my cousins parents have bad teeth and although

she is a different bloodline than me, she is the same as them and has 2 cavities

and she had treatments with flouride. My biological mother has a mouthful of

either fillings and or false teeth and she had no flouride. I have had 2

cavities and my teeth were treated. My adopted sister again another nationality

has 3 cavities and her teeth were treated too and all of us are over 50. She

doesn't know what her parents cavity record is. I don't like that the city where

I live has added flouride to the water both because it blocks the thyroid in me

and others, but I feel it also though ok for a 2 time a year treatment, it

should not be ingested on a daily basis. I also used Toms on my kids. Kids

swallow more than what would be available to harden the tooth surface. When they

were older we switched to crest.

and I have a mouthfull of metal, so does my sister.
