Guest guest
Hope this helps LeeAnn but still looking to see what I fined!! shirley GLUTATHIONE/ATP INJECTIONS PROVIDE RELIEF Dr. Salvato of Houston, Texas, reported in The CFIDS Chronicle ( January/’February, 1 1998) that she has treated 276 CFIDS patients with injections of glutathione, a small (three amino acid) peptide and adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Both substances are normally found in the body, where glutathione has many important functions, such as detoxification of free radicals and heavy metals. Viruses and other chronic infections deplete the body's store of glutathione. ATP is the key molecule in cellular energy metabolism. Oral glutathione is believed unable to enter the cells, so it was given by injection. ATP was included in the injections to aid in transport of the glutathione into the cell. Eighty-two percent of her patients experienced improvement in their fatigue, while 71 % had improvement in memory and concentration, and 62% had reduced pain. Objective measures such as the Karnovsky Index were used to verify the improvement. Natural killer cell function was also measured, with 187 people showing a two-fold increase. Some patients have received the therapy for as long as 16 months, and the only adverse side effects observed were palpitations in a few patients and a slight rash or itching around the site of injection. Summarized from the Jan/Feb, 1998. CFIDS Chronicle, published by the CFIDS Association of America. PO Box 22098 Charlotte.
